Oh man it was totally incredibly wonderful. Civilian submarines, 3d
printers, arduinos, FIRE, power-racing, rockets, blacksmithing, spinning,
weaving, woodwork, printing (regular), makerspaces, power skateboards (one
guy claimed 30 mph!). If you couldn't have fun there then you must be
dead. The Awesome continues tomorrow noon-17:00, including talks in the
Decatur High School Auditorium. If you don't have time for this, MAKE
time. One minor warning: the only food or drink available is from
high-school students selling to support various activities. That means no
food trucks, and no real options beyond hot dogs, grocery-store pizza, and
candy bars. Bringing a lunch might be good, but finding a place to eat it
will be tricky.
