[ale] Linux Mint 17 Not Recognizing Printer Device

Good call. I haven't used an HP printer in a while and had forgotten about hplip tools. I vaguely recall getting a giant networked multifunction HP scanner, printer, fax, copier to work rather well with hplip. Not used it since the magenta cartridge exploded and trashed the printing ability. Scan to email is really useful!
