[ale] Anyone have a source for a dumb terminal?

Thanks anyway.
It appears somehow my thread got hijacked by someone that IS looking for an emulator based on the other responses since my last.
To be clear – The OP of this thread (yours truly) does NOT want an emulator. I want an actual dumb terminal for the reasons you mention.
Back in the early to mid-90s I setup many different brands of terminals and used many emulators. I wanted to see if anyone knew of a current source for a dumb terminal.

Sorry, I don't remember. I do remember Link MC-5 was another brand.
I do recall ain't nobody ever stole a Wy60 or MC-5 off a loading dock. That is precisely why you use them. And they seemed impervious to metal dust too.

Neal,
Any idea who that was that did that or if they’re still around?
To others that suggested terminal emulation software – my original post indicates that was my first suggestion but they don’t want to do that because anything good enough to run that might walk away because it could run other things as well.

We used to get refurbished WY60s all the time for $100.
In fact, we could send in a Wy60 for a flat rate repair for $100 as long as the tube lit up.

Another department just asked me about this and said they are having a hard time finding one for less than $500.
I suggested they just put in a laptop with terminal emulation but apparently this is going to a remote site and they’re afraid something like that might disappear.
I gather they just need any terminal that would do the old RS232 9600 baud and run in VT100 mode but I’m not sure what the server/application is.
Any ideas?
