We used CVS for many years and then moved to SVN.

SVN causes me some real headache with timestamps since I'm building a 
whole system.  I store all file timestamps in a SQLite3 database and 
then set them after a check out.  Otherwise we get many instances of 
configures executing to create Makefiles.
