Secretaries don't necessarily know it either. One I knew regularly had to call me because she could NOT remember how to do simple data input into a spreadsheet.
Eventually I modified the sheet so it automatically loaded macros that took her from field to field and restricted what data she could input in each and prevented her from moving on until she'd entered data and hit enter on each field. I then made that an auto-load spreadsheet so whenever Lotus 123 was started it would pull up that sheet. I then set the autoexec.bat in DOS to automatically start Lotus 123 on boot.
After that I only had to remind her to turn on the PC.
The original "A" model of the IBM 8088 PC couldn't even take 640 K RAM like the later "B" model could as I found out to my chagrin on trying to upgrade one of the former once.
