[ale] ctrl-d in virt-manager?

I use kvm (headless and console both) directly as well.... but does it matter which ctrl key you use (left or right)?
>From the current Debian-stable man page for kvm:
-alt-grab
Use Ctrl-Alt-Shift to grab mouse (instead of Ctrl-Alt). Note that
this also affects the special keys (for fullscreen, monitor-mode
switching, etc).
-ctrl-grab
Use Right-Ctrl to grab mouse (instead of Ctrl-Alt). Note that this
also affects the special keys (for fullscreen, monitor-mode
switching, etc).
FWIW, control-d works fine for me on the console w/out virt-manager. I've never used virt-manager, but I can load it up if you need some debugging help.
Does it matter which guest you run? I just checked w/ Knoppix 7.0.4 - specifically:
KNOPISO=/sda8/cdroms/knoppix/KNOPPIX_V7.0.4CD-2012-08-20-EN.iso
#...snip...
kvm \
-monitor stdio \
-boot d \
-cdrom $KNOPISO \
-m 1024 \
-vga std \
-usb \
-usbdevice tablet \
$*
later!
