[ale] help with java crash

try upgrade to openjdk 7. That seems to not inflame the "do i have java"
page.

note, the java.com will ALWAYS prompt for a newer version upgrade when
running openjdk.

I trust Oracle java as much as I trust Apple and Microsoft having backdoors
to NSA.
