[ale] FTP files

Very nice use of bash arrays! Could use mput "${FILES[@]}" once the array
is populated.

I saw a blurb somewhere that the backticks were going (are?) to be
deprecated. Plus the $() nomenclature allows nesting which can be very
handy.
