NOTE - Mtg is moved to next Tuesday - NOT the normal Thursday due to Valentines Day.

The next ALE-NW at SPSU meeting is being held Tuesday Feb. 12th, 2013 at 7:30pm in
room J-266 of the Atrium (J) building on the SPSU campus.

===================================
The feature presentation will be by Allan Davis
presenting on:
     Programming Languages Swamp Tour - a Programmer's Toolbox

---------
Abstract:

You would not pick a crescent wrench to drive a nail in (ok when I can't find
the hammer). Programming languages are like tools in a tool chest. This tour
aims to take you through several different languages and when they might best be
applied.

---------
Bio:

Allan Davis started down the path of programming developer back in 1999. Around
that time, he was exposed to Linux as an operating system, became versed in open
source, and never looked back. In 2002, he converted his computers and life to
Linux full time, and so, he left the world of Microsoft behind without illusion
or regret. Today, Allan is a Mobile Application Developer for Acculynk utilizing
his skills in Objective C, C++, Ruby, Python and Java.

===================================
If there is time remaining, a few lightning talks might be presented:
* Show and tell from the group (an R-Pi router would be nice)
* Removing Commercials from TV Recordings
* Media Library Organization for XBMC
* What Do Distro Support Cycles Mean?
