[ale] OT: What the hell is XSS in Comcast land?

It's EASY. I have one of the latest Arris modems myself when I went from
Docsis 2 to 3 recently myself. You just need just need to tell the tech
support person you want to put the modem in BRIDGE MODE (key phrase is
'bridge mode' so you can use it with your own router. They can do that
online just like reseting a cable box. I did this one weekday evening
around 9:45 when I had unboxed it a few minutes earlier. They may or may
not charge you a one time fee for putting the Arris in bridge mode, they
said on the phone to me they would, but the fee never appeared. You just
need the right tech person on the phone.
