I'd rather have the cold air blowing on me instead of the machines. :)

But the exhaust system worked pretty well during a limited test.  I have 
four 220R's in a rack.  In one apartment I was in, the rack was in a 
small bedroom.  The top of the rack had a fan bank.  That was covered 
with a box and a 4-inch duct sent out the window to a booster fan 
outside.  The room didn't warm up much more than it already was (maybe 
an extra degree or two) and the extra power consumed was about 5 watts 
(for the booster fan).  The rack eventually moved into a garage where I 
didn't have to worry about heat but I had been building up the hardware 
for the rest of the machines to exhaust all of them to the outside (or 
attic).
