Claws Mail does have a plugin for viewing HTML emails. I hardly ever use it,
though. I still have my plaintext preferences and even without the HTML viewer,
Claws can be pretty smart about properly marking HTML links.

Just wanted to point out that it's possible... it's just not part of the
default config.
