Blame the car designers for not using isolated CAN bus segments for the 
critical components. Someone wanted some nifty trick along the way (like 
limit engine speed if tire pressure is low or apply brakes if tire 
pressure hits zero) but then that opens up more holes in the bus as more 
sensors have to talk to critical components.
