[ale] Sysadmin/DBA/Webmaster needed

Why can't it be LAMP only? It was LAMP only for quite a while before a
wayward admin installed content managers and other muck.
The main system is LAMP plus CLI Java for running an equipment control
system. The Java portion does not interact with the web side except via
the database. The web side uses PHP for pulling data from the database
and generating the dynamic content. Static content is just written as
straight HTML. There are a couple other features of the system that are
low level (SAMBA for collecting files generated by data acquisition
machines, email services handled by exim) that usually run as CLI
scripts (typically cron jobs)
The main requirement is no outside dependencies (meaning no third-party
content managers that could go belly up at any time and force a
migration). There are no Web-admin systems for administering the server
either. This machine is totally administered via CLI. There are some
things that have a web-based interface but those are for manipulating
the data database (e.g. editing records, viewing data, etc.) and not the
server or the database administration.
Job #0 is to make sure whatever is there doesn't go down.
Job #1 is to unwind Django and go back to straight LAMP for dynamic
content and straight HTML for static content. Most of the backend stuff
was fortunately unharmed because it's not web facing so Django doesn't
play a role.
