My kids go to Davis elementary (and eventually to Lassiter), and we're very happy with the school (they don't actually teach Linux though :) keep in mind schools tend to teach to the average student (the average in good schools is pretty good :) so they will probably feel short on what interests *you* :), so you still need to teach your kids (my son is in 4th grade and they haven't even taught binary, the horror :), OTOH, they learn oodles of stuff I didn't know :)
And I haven't seen any particular indoctrination or anything like that (they *don't* teach them religion, any religion), and as far as history and social sciences, I haven't seen anything that made my hair rise (granted, I don't have much hair :), maybe because it is elementary, but they teach them mostly the traditional mythology (all our founding fathers were saints, the pilgrims, Pocahontas ...) which makes sense to me in elementary school :). Math and Science are pretty ok, at least until now.
