I, too, picked up one of the 7" pieces. Not a horrible little gadget. Like the
4.3" one, it comes rooted. You just need the superuser binary (and adding
busybox is probably a good idea, too). Android Market installs and runs fine,
but not necessarily all apps (most notably, Netflix and Chrome both seem to
crash on startup). It gets a bit flaky under heavy use (lots of network traffic
or heavy video playback... my guess is that it's overheating), but for $60, I
really can't complain.
And yes, thanks for the heads up on this. Should be a fun toy.
