The supply chain for these is still a bit tight, restricted to one per
person for now, and the backlog is still significant. I ordered mine
I release day (feb 29), and I am tentatively scheduled to have one
shipped to me sometime in the next week.
The accessory that I know to exist in some form is the camera module,
but that's still in active development by the foundation. There are
cases and power supplies available, as well as plans to 3D print your own.
If you're looking to deploy something in the next 60-90 days, I
wouldn't count on the supply being there. I know the manufacturing
process is ramping up, but it still seems like demand is far outpacing
supply, since next week's ship date was more or less guaranteed for
people who had ordered up to beginning of April.
And frankly, if the students already have iPads, I'd have to recommend
just going with the Apple TVs (yes, those words tasted bitter coming out).
