[ale] Oh, really, MS... If it had been one of us, nobody would have blinked...

Ok,

I don't know whether to fall on the floor laughing about this, shake my
head in disbelief, or send someone kudos for pulling it off. I may have
to check with my evil twin at M$ to see if they've identified the body
of the guilty party yet or not... They may be in hiding.

So someone at the mighty M$ got the magic constant 0xB16B00B5 used in
the HyperV code that got committed to the Linux kernel. Now, outside of
the fact that it's probably something that more than a small number of
us might have pulled off in the past and is nothing compare with SOME of
the things that have appeared in the kernel, M$ is appropriately
embarrassed, contrite, and apologetic.

Given all the Easter Eggs and cheats in Windows (pop quiz - what was the
classical MineSweeper "cheat" and how does it relate to my domain name),
why am I not surprised.

Hmmm... Gives me some new ideas for WEP / WPA keys... Maybe a wireless
SSID. I like that idea. :-)=)

Regards,
Mike
