After my boss told me I would probably be interested in "Windows Server 8 Core" because it was "just like the Linux server I work with now" I started to investigate into powershell scripting... I started off and thought "ok, yea this isn't terrible, at least some of the commands are the same" and then started getting into the God awful mess that was needed to do simple things such as, modify user info in Active Directory using a script or creating scripts that would enable our student assistants to create users interactively without needing additional privileges added to their user account. I slowly closed the book and proceeded to walk it straight back into my bosses office. They went through all this trouble to make powershell work soooo mcuh better and they didn't even include OpenSSH... come on guys!
