OP was asking to pick the brain of anyone that is actually doing MySQL in a clustered environment. The post I responded to makes it sound like he'd be amenable to doing it with Postgresql instead so long as someone who is actually doing it already can talk to him about it.

I've been working with a client for a few years now who has used
postgresql for their database of choice. It works and works well. I
can't now recall the OPs original post regarding clustering. Are we
talking about clustered servers?
