Last time I checked, emacs didn't run on my router. vi does.

I'm a reformed emacs user (18 yrs reformed!).  On the surface vi appears
inferior, until you learn of the power it hides from the casual user.

That isn't to say that emacs isn't powerful too, but I suspect most new emacs
users would be better helped with geany instead.
