I try not to buy electronics from anyplace I can't walk into and get a
exchange or a refund.
That said, I just ordered a new ultrabook from CostCo online.
It was $150 cheaper than the same model they had (in stock) in the
store.
However, I can walk into that same CostCo and get an exchange or
refund, no questions asked, so it still qualifies.

Certain kinds of retail will be fine. Specialty (aimed at teenagers
who
can't stand having 20 bucks in their pocket) clothing lines at the
mall.
Some Mom and Pop shops if they're in the right place. Regardless, it
doesn't pay to be an electonics retailer right now. Amazon (anything
under
the sun) and Walmart (sometimes questionable quality but take it home
now)
take the bulk of those. If you can make yourself stand out with
service
you'll be ok. Not many stores care to even try though. I think Fry's
does
well because you can't get capacitors and such from Radio Shack
anymore.
