[ale] ubuntu Network Proxy vs command line setting

Friends:

My office folks have a proxy setup for all servers for all protocols from
all machines.  It is now causing a lot of http requests and my web service
calls to fail.

For the non-internet  access aka local intranet computers I was able to
setup the ignore hosts for the proxy in the Ubuntu 11.04,
Preferences->Network Proxy

I have another server which is a Ubuntu 11.04 server and I dont have X on
it.  How can i add the ignore hosts from command line since I dont have X?
