[ale] Canonical landscape replacement

Has anyone used low-cost/free system monitoring tools for Ubuntu on EC2 that
they can recommend.

I have been been using Canonical Landscape, but they changed the product
recently and more-than-doubled the price so it's no longer a
value-proposition for me.

I have Cloudwatch enabled on AWS but it does not have the option that I used
most in Landscape - update alerts and a single interface to update packages
on all my servers.
