I do. Like I said before, you want to avoid TiVo due to DRM. I have a
lifetime subscription for my tivo that has been working the last 8 yrs.
I won't be getting a newer tivo due to the monthly fees (or another
$300+ lifetime subscription fee) being required.

I'm sorry that I suggested it at all. Tivo isn't gonna work well for you.

I use the MAC for my Tivo and convert them into 480x480 mpg files on
linux using "tivodecode" that I had to compile from source. I don't
think you can pull the files from the TiVo without an active
subscription. They disable the local networking.

I think you are making this overly complex.
----
XP Computer - plays Silverslight media
 - output via RCA stereo and s-video out.

MythTV computer - records input from s-video and RCA stereo (you may
need to hit radio shack for some RCA-to-mini-headohone plugs)

Also, AHK is only cool because there aren't many good automation choices
under Windows. With Linux, there are scripts and AHK-like event/button
pressers. If it uses X/windows, you can put an event into the necessary
widget for any program on local or remote systems (remote requires
X-authority). I prefer scripting over attempting GUI-based automation.
For GUI-based automation, look for Linux GUI testing tools. I think
there is a clone of AHK for Linux too, but I don't recall the name.
