How long do you think it will take to compile Gentoo on a K6-2/350MHz w/ 
192MB of RAM? Days, if not more than a week, is my guess. And at the end 
of it, what performance does it get you that you can't get by being 
selective about what you install/re-compile from another distribution? 
Little, it not none, is my guess.

It's more than 10 years old. Compiling Gentoo seems like a lot of effort 
for very little, if any, return.
