[ale] [OT] Laptop Battery Worth It?

I'm with others - I'd don't mind lugging around a larger laptop to get the increased screen and keyboard size that goes with it. The nice thing is the laptop bag I bought 7 years ago because it was a dirt cheap special at Microcenter and used for my Thinkpad was already big enough to fit my new Dell D630 when I got it a few years later. Of course I also often carry around tools, CDs/DVDs, portables drives and what not so the laptop bag gets a bit heavy on occasion. Real men don't mind the weight. :p

I understand the concerns. I have a problem with the disk speeds. The
5400 rpm drives make a laptop seem slow even if it's got a record
holding CPU. My next one will have to have a 7200 rpm drive, now that I
see them on the market.

Jim.
