[ale] how do you delete IMAP server messages and not local copies

I use the Gmail IMAP feature with Thunderbird and keep my "lists" 
account as clean as possible.  I've another account that I forward email 
to when I find information in my lists that is useful and I wish to keep.

think I'm up to like 8 so far...
