No experience with godaddy, but I am currently with 1and1, and would
suggest you comments above ring true for 1and1. I'm hoping to relocate
to another provider, but recent experiences with attempting to transfer
a domain were hideous.
So, if you read between the lines, I am NOT recommending 1and1.
