[ale] Two offices, one data pool

Chuck responded to me off list earlier today and I sent my apology to him earlier.

As I explained to him I simply thought he was having a bad typing day as we all do from time to time. I don't know him personally and was no more aware of any medical issues he might suffer from than you are of any I might have.

You may be able to diagnose conditions from others' writings but I don't claim to have such expertise. Pretending this makes me somehow socially unaware is specious at best. Rather than asking me to unsubscribe I'll invite you to block emails from me instead then you won't have to be offended by things that weren't even directed at you anyway. I'm sure Chuck is a big boy and can respond to things directed at him as he did earlier.

Chuck,
I had the same view as you and I hope that Jeff unsubscribes from the
ALE list for a while in order to develop a bit of social awareness. I
sent an off-list notice of the ignorant transgression to Jeff and have
noticed and welcome the silence.

While the social skills of most ALE geeks appears pretty limited
almost by default, there's no excuse for comments that appear to be
blatant personal attacks on ability of any kind.
