[ale] search domains

Which is just about as vague as `man 5 resolv.conf`.
Damon: the search domains will be automatically appended to any
"computers" you try to lookup. So let's say you enter "foo" into the
address bar of a web browser. If you have "search example.com" in your
resolv.conf, then the browser will try "foo.example.com" before giving
up and showing you an error.
