[ale] autohotkey equivalent in linux

Friends:

There is this good tool in Windoze called autohotkey.
http://www.autohotkey.com/

It is a great tool that does a lot things.  Primarily though it allows key
strokes and mouse clicks to apps.

For example I can send F6 to a window in Focus, bring window to focus etc.,

Any equivalent in Linux world like this that I can make use of ?
