This may be old news, but I just saw it when reading about new
features expected in 2.6.37:

I know laptops use a lot of broadcom wireless chipsets, so this is
great news as far as I'm concerned.
If you don't know the current status with broadcom gear, it's a mess.
IIRC, I think their are 3 drivers available. One fully GPL, one is
partially gpl, and the third is closed. I hope the above means we can
see a consolidation to one driver eventually for broadcom.
