I recently purchased a Wii.  I did the following:

1) make sure the Wii can connect to the internet.

2) perform a Wii system update

3) Download the NetFlix "app" from the "Wii Store" -- cost $0.00

4) launch the Netflix app from the Wii menu

5) enter my NetFlix credentials

6) watch and enjoy
