[ale] temp mobile broadband option?

Dial up (D to A) over a digital phone (A to D to compression to D to
A) does not work. If you do get anything to transmit, you will have
spent enough time that you could have driven hours to the nearest
restaurant, library, or hotel lobby (don't forget those!) and enough
frustration that you could have gotten yourself a night of sweet,
tender, TSA lovin.
