You know I'm no newbie to the list. In fact, it's the constant use of
these names on this list that has made form my opinion. That is,
anyone who has to denigrate a company with a cutesy name is merely
opposing whatever suggestion/topic/etc. because of that company. They
don't bother to consider the facts, only their held opinion.
The fact is, I don't care for MS either. But that wasn't the question.
I answered the question and it was renounced, not by the questioner,
but by those who have to be snarky about MS whenever they get the
chance.
This isn't about embracing anyone or anything. I'm just tired of this
bullshit infesting simple threads for the sake of doing so. Notice
that none of the replies about whether or not .Net is a viable option
have been about anything worthwhile. They've just been about fallacies
proven incorrect because some people can't get over the fact that MS
created the easiest answer to the question.

"All governments suffer a recurring problem: Power attracts
pathological personalities. It is not that power corrupts but that it
is magnetic to the corruptible. Such people have a tendency to become
drunk on violence, a condition to which they are quickly addicted."
