I have a hard time believing anything based on linux (openfiler) can
beat anything based on opensolaris (nexentastor) as a nas appliance
distro right now. Maybe once btrfs is ready in a few years.
That said, if you want more than 12TB of storage through nexentastor you
have to pay for their commercial version. Still, it's cheaper to throw
nexentastor on some beefy box that to buy netapp.
