My home workstation:
19:40:26 up 390 days, 19:08, 18 users, load average: 1.14, 1.21, 1.24
That was when I completely replaced my workstation. The previous
incarnation had been up ~1200 or so days with 2 uptime wrap-arounds.
Why not reboot it? I didn't want to shut down all my applications.
PID PPID RSS VSZ TIME ELAPSED COMMAND
2533 2507 1580 11456 05:12:32 390-19:07:15 /usr/bin/fluxbox
Linux can keep running forever if you let it, just patch your
applications and lock down your ports.
