It was definitely a LaCrosse that I found at CostCo.

It's a very basic station, but you might want to join the yahoo group

It comes with windows software, but I tried to just have my Dad's XP
box talk to it.  Never ran more than a day or two even if nothing else
was going on.

You can use the SVN version of Open2300 to talk to it via Linux, but
the output is very basic. Open2300 basically just polls the station
every 10 minutes and records the info in a CSV file.  Then I built a
simple webpage to display current and historical data from that log
file.
