[ale] [OT] cartoon on BP spill blame

Current price of a gallon of gasoline in the Atlanta area is around
$2.50 . That's about half what it is in most of the developed world.
( http://money.cnn.com/pf/features/lists/global_gasprices/ ). That
said, the main determinant is government taxes.

The sad fact is that drilling for oil is dangerous. It involves
complex equipment operated at the very margins of safety and
predictability. This is unlikely to change in the near future.
