[ale] nforce smbus: error probing SMB1 and SMB2

I was curious about what APIC really does, and I found this page.
http://www.adriansrojakpot.com/Speed_Demonz/New_BIOS_Guide/APIC_Function.htm

I have learned that turning it off is not an option when using a 64 bit
os and a multicore processor. "To sum it all up, APIC provides
multiprocessor support, more IRQs and faster interrupt handling which
are not possible with the old 8259 PIC." captured from the above web
page. So shutting down APIC may solve my problem, but it will only
create more. Guess it is back to waiting on a fix from linux.

Any recommendations on a mobo with on board dual video, support for
core2 quad, support for 8 gigs of ram, and at least 1 PCIe and 1 PCI
slot that will run well with 64 bit ubuntu?

Or should I move away from on board video if I can afford a second video
card?

Thanks
Joshua
