[ale] JACK server mutes audio

Friends:

I am playing with JACK server these days.  Whenever I launch it it mutes my
audio from any program and also freezes video in some cases.  Any good guide
on JACK server you folks know of ?
I would love to play youtube and capture it with recordmydesktop. (the final
idea is not youtube but another indian website)
