[ale] I am so tired of Linux Fanatics

In most technical communities, you will do well to read [1] before
starting to ask questions. If you as a basic question that can be
answered by typing two words into the Google search box and pressing
"I'm feeling lucky!", then you will receive (mostly undue) scorn. It
is expected that you will have done exhaustive research before asking
your question.

Having said that, there are communities you can go to for even the
most basic help. ALE is one of them. _Most_ questions that get posted
to the list get answered in some fashion. Especially basic questions.
Really tough, obscure, questions tend to receive little answer, though
(like the few I've had to ask).

"All governments suffer a recurring problem: Power attracts
pathological personalities. It is not that power corrupts but that it
is magnetic to the corruptible. Such people have a tendency to become
drunk on violence, a condition to which they are quickly addicted."
