I'm running near the end of my Google-fu on trying to find anything so
reaching out to see if anyone's worked with either Apache Solr or
Liferay Portal. I'm working on a project utilizing both and having some
very poor performance that I'm trying to resolve. Poor as it it's been
re-indexing from scratch for over 24 hours and has only completed less
than 8K records out of 166K+.
I installed LucidGaze for Solr to try and get some stats and it's not
even showing 1 request/second and 17+ ms/request which sounds correct as
the Solr server is sitting with a load of 0, but the Liferay server is
using a lot of CPU itself and it's not taking any load as all it's doing
is re-indexing.
