This Off-topic post is for the home-brewers among us:
The classic Irish joke goes like this:
QUESTION: Why did God teach the Irish how to make whiskey?
ANSWER: To keep them from taking over the world.
The Scots were, originally, an Irish tribe that wandered across
the north end of the Irish Sea to what is now known as Scotland. They
took their whiskey-making skills with them, and found better water in
those highland glens. :)
Apparently the Scottish brewers aren't content to let the distillers have
all the fun. A brewer in Aberdeen (northeast coast) has produced a "beer"
with a 41% ABV
