[ale] HP P2035 printer won't on Mandriva 2010.0

Do you have hplip installed? That's the default driver system for all of
HP's printer line that works with Linux (nearly ALL of their printers do!).
That's what CUPS will want to talk to.

Skip the "driver CD" and plug it up and run the cups :631 stuff. Config it
as a generic hp laserjet to see basic print capabilities. That driver
_should_ ship with cups. It's very basic but will put ink on a page.

Mandriva has always seemed a bit weird about their packaging to me. If you
still must have python-devel, try either the rpmbone link from JD or get the
src.rpm package for python and do a full build yourself. Maybe Mandriva has
a separate devel repo you need to attach to?
