I will be switching some time this week. Mine will be a bit more
painful because I got fider to the house. I got to send it my router
to them.

Have you tried SUSE Studio? Need to create a Live CD,  an app you want
to package and distribute , or create your own linux distro. Give SUSE
Studio a try. www.susestudio.com.
