[ale] DIY Graphing Calculator Is Built From Open Source Hardware

Funny that - I hadn't thought of slide rules in years but my sister was
just telling her daughters about how proud I was when I got my first one
in high school.  Of course I then told them how pocket calculators
became the new toy about 6 months later and how my first one weighed
near what today's netbooks do and had a battery life of about 10 minutes
(oh and it didn't do square roots).  Back then most
Math/Chemistry/Physics teachers wouldn't allow you to use them on tests
anyway.  The rich kids all had the calculators that did functions the
purpose of which they didn't know but they looked cool.
