I'm in. Same boat at work but let's put this idea on a fast track and
see if it feasible to pull off a Linux Party. Sort of like a
Tupperware party except the products are free for the taking.

I see a need for a pile of eye-candy pre-installed systems on display
doing "different things" so people can play with them. Network
bandwidth would be a must have for Internet access for things like
youtube and the like.

Yeah. A rolling Linux Party. Mobile Linux Fun. Party with the Penguin!

As the two dominant desktop distro's are currently Ubuntu and Fedora,
there would need to be a solid mix of both. The actual desktop
environment is a 40/40/20 split between Gnome/KDE/XFCE so all three
environments running on both platforms. Maybe some specialty rigs for
specific tasks like Blender, Cinellera, and sound processing with
audacity, etc.
