It would be nice.  Most will not, however.  That said, if there's a
legal requirement that makes it so, it'd be handy to have to cite it for
the next time.  Not that I'm in the market; it'd have to be an awfully
sweet deal (or things would have to be going relatively badly) for me to
consider W-2ing instead of freelancing.
